“Dressed” for Frocktober

This is my first post on The Monthly Stitch, organised by my lovely friends here in Wellington. I’ve tried to join in so far, but somehow, my timing doesn’t coincide, but I’ve made it this time 🙂 Even so I’m a bit late writing this post, but trust me the frock was finished way before the end of October.

This is my first Cambie and I’m really pleased with the outcome. Just check this out!

The fabric is a pale cream cotton sateen with a navy blue pattern from what was Global Fabrics (aka The Fabric Store) here in Wellington. I’ve lined it with a fine navy cotton lawn from the Fabric Warehouse.

The pattern has been on my hit list since it was released and I bought it while still living in the UK. I spied the fabric about a year ago and bought it specifically with this pattern in mind. I love how Tasia writes and designs her patterns. They also have a great fit on me – that’s a result I reckon. And so to celebrate, here’s a spin 🙂

There was also to be a By Hand London Anna dress, but life has got in the way and it’s only half done. It’ll be a wee bit late for the Frocktober party time it’s finished. 🙂
