Wow, it’s taken me ages to post this one! I finished it on 3 October, took photos in mid October (in Milan! On holiday!!), and only just got around to putting up a post now. Yikes!
Anyway, here, finally, is my third Frocktober dress.
Yep, it’s another Tiramisu, from Cake patterns.
As with the others of these I’ve made, it was super fast and easy (and fun!) to put together, and it’s super comfy to wear. (Especially while travelling. Seriously – if you’re travelling long distance any time, make one of these to wear! It’s like the perfect long-haul flight dress, I reckon.)
I made it a size smaller than the other one I made myself, and didn’t realise until I was finished that the bodice on the size 30 is quite a bit shorter than the size 35. So the midriff sits too high and is somewhat unflattering for my bust. *sigh* Oh well, live and learn.
Anyway, if you want more details, feel free to head on over to my blog. 🙂
Gorgeous, I love your choice of contrast fabric.

Ohhhh!!! I do love the contrasting midriff band very much! Changes the whole look of the dress and like how you matched it to the bias binding. Very chic! I wonder if you can ‘stretch’ it down when it’s wet to make it fall lower on your bodice?

Unfortunately there’s too much synthetic in the fabric and too far for it to have to go down…. 😦
