I’d decided to challenge myself to learn how to make welt pockets. After much googling and reading countless tutorials I found one over at Oliver and S that seamed easy to follow with clear photos. It took 3 hours but I’m so pleased with the result and would be confident enough to go straight ahead and add one to a garment.

Tah-Dah!
There’s a few more pix at my blog, thanks monthly stitch for stretching our skills this months!
Ohh more welt pockets, well done, great idea to try a test on some scrap first, I’m glad it has made you feel so confident, not everything is as hard as it looks 🙂 Beautiful job xx

Thanks, I’m hoping to push my sewing skills further this year and try more new things to make my clothes more ‘finished off’. ✂️😃✂️
