The Monthly Stitch February challenge terrified me! I used Style Arc Wallis Pant to make Leather Ponte Leggings. I know that this is sort of cheating because they are not really pants with all the techniques and details, but I had a fitting fail in my attempt at Colette Clovers.
It sewed easily on my machine with a microtex needle and regular machine foot. I pinned the fabric carefully in the seam allowances.
I wore these all day Sunday and they were warm and kept me dry while running errands in the rain. I plan to sew another pair soon in the rest of the ponte knit, this time no leather. I liked sewing with the leather and the pattern was very easy, but how many pairs of leather pants does one regular Seattle mom need.

Wow! GREAT make!!! Love that you included the fabric, too, so we can go looking. As to how many a Seattle woman needs – as many as she likes! One for wearing, one in the wash, one for thinking about wearing next time… You get the idea! 😉

These are great! I never would have thought to pair leather and ponte knit like that – they look great together, and super comfy as well as stylish. 🙂 Nice job!

I got the idea from a pair that I tried on in Anthropologie.
