Yay! Shorts that fit my high hips!
I recently found Vogue 7881 and liked the curved waistband – great for women like me who have hips.
I also like to sew the facings with fun quilting fabrics. Nobody else knows, but it does make me smile when I put them on!
These fit pretty well right out of the envelope, although I did add ½” to the vertical length of the pattern to allow for tummy.
Also made these in whitish twill fabric. I’m sure there is another name for the color besides whitish – you tell me!
You can visit my blog HERE to see the quilting fabric I used for the waistband lining for : ) You’ll also see the “muslin” I made from curtain fabric!
I highly recommend this pattern! I’m sure there will be pants in the future as well.
Happy Creating everyone!
Nice shorts. I’m a fan of curved waistbands too, don’t think I’ve used a straight one since I discovered what a great fit curved ones give.
