Sewing double – La Sylphide

I have enjoyed reading The Monthly Stitch for some time and get lots of inspiration from all the gorgeous clothes featured here.  I am happy to have completed my first monthly challenge and my first post.

I made the La Sylphide dress (a Papercut patterns design) last October and love it so this was the perfect opportunity to make the blouse version.

The blouse is made out of a check cotton with a really nice drape.  It was gifted to me by an aunt so this ended up being a very cheap make, only $4.50 for the pearl snaps!  You can read more about it on my blog here.  I’m looking forward to the next challenge, I have my knits ready to go!  Wendy

  1. Both versions are lovely and look very wearable. The pattern has the bow in the perfect position – might look into it for the June Challenge – thanks for the inspiration!
