I have to admit that I am seriously loving Jennifer Lauren’s Afternoon Blouse pattern. I whipped up a blouse for the Easter holiday. And after stuffing my face with chocolate eggs and jelly beans, I prepped and cut another version of the Afternoon Blouse that evening.
The Easter blouse is made of a mustard colored cotton with small white polka dots. The double is a pink polyester with a jeweled black button. The kimono sleeves and neckline give a modern-vintage feel that can definitely take on a personality of its own!
This pattern has some great features including how incredibly easy it is to whip one of these up, the button, and a small amount of fabric to construct (Hello — stash-busting brilliance!). I even have another one planned in which I find a the hunt for the perfect novelty button is on (but this may take some serious searching for the right button — I want a chemistry button). These are perfect for my work wardrobe or relaxing with friends and a cuppa.
