I’ve been sewing with knits which just happens to be the challenge this month. The fabric for this was my Christmas spend and is a really nice quality knit (unfortunately I can’t remember exactly what it is).
The dress is the Ultimate Wrap dress by Sew Over It and was a nice easy make.
I made size 14 and altered it by adding 7″ to the length which meant I didn’t do the curved hem. I also did two small darts in the back neck to remove gaping and made a self-fabric binding to finish the neckline rather than using the facing and I like the neat finish this gives (you can see this in the close-up).
I love this dress, it is the perfect weight for autumn/winter, it’s easy to wear and I feel good in it!
You can check out my blog here to see another make with knits that I had sewn earlier but only just got round to blogging.
What a great dress. I’m on the hunt for a great wrap dress, so it’s good to see the pattern made up and hear about the experience of sewing it up. I might have to put this pattern at the top of my list.

Great dress – I’ve been eyeing this pattern, so I am really pleased when I see it made up. The colours in that fabric are lovely – and I am also quite taken with your necklace!
