Stretchy Stripes

Scout Tee in Knit

This challenge came along at the right time – I was in a woven rut and didn’t realize it!  Knits take a different mind-set, as well as different sewing needles!

This is the Scout Woven Tee from Grainline Studio done up in a rayon-lycra knit.  It is good for an oversized tee.  To see more about what I thought, check out my blog post here.   I probably will stick with wovens for this pattern.  For fun, I changed the direction of the stripes on the sleeves; not sure if I like them this way or not.  Hemmed the bottom and sleeves with my coverstitch machine which is wonderful for knits!

Also pictured are 3 pair of panties to match.  This is my tnt pattern – Jalie 3242 view A.  It has been tweaked a bit, but the fit even right off the pattern wasn’t bad at all.

Do you sew panties to match your t-shirts?!

Happy Sewing!
