Well it wasn’t a challenge finding a new-to-me indie designer since they’re all new to me! But it was hard to choose just one!
I decided on the Salme Minna Blouse and this fun floral silk crepe de chine from Mood Fabrics. From reviews, I was weary that the Salme pattern instructions wouldn’t give me enough explanation, but it worked out just fine 🙂
Only thing I might go back and adjust is the sleeves; they turned out a little boxy – I think I just need to adjust the darts a little. The neckline also turned out a little big (doesn’t lay flat) – gotta figure out what I’m doing wrong there. But overall I love this top! Will definitely be trying this pattern again. I cut the size 6 and it fits great.
I know, my photo leaves much to be desired, but I just finished and and am attempting to get this in before the deadline (that’s half the challenge!). 🙂 Also it’s gloomy and rainy outside right now – no fun. Stop my my blog for better photos sometime in the next couple of days!
Next up is the Salme Cropped Blazer – I bought that pattern at the same time and can’t wait to try it out!
Love seeing all the indie designer options out there. Thanks for this challenge!
Warm wishes from Wyoming!
