Without further ado, here’s my Malvarosa dress, a pattern by Pauline Alice that caught my eye during Indie Pattern Month. I used a soft but durable linen-cotton blend from a local shop in Berlin and made the sleeves short; otherwise no changes to the pattern.
This dress has been excellent for traveling. I wore it on the long journey by too many planes and shuttles to northeast Ohio, where I’m visiting my parents. I didn’t pack much, so I’ve been wearing it often in a wide variety of summer weather conditions. It’s always comfortable.
Usually I don’t wear black without other prints or colors, but the ease and simplicity of the monochrome look are working for me with this dress. I like it!
