My Momma always said, “A little late Cake is better than no Cake!” Sew here ya go. I decided to purchase the Pavlova Cake Pattern for August’s sew. OK so I’m new to ordering PDF patterns and I thought I bought a shirt & skirt pattern but come to find out, I only bought the shirt so I had to resort to my other patterns for a skirt that was sorta like the skirt I thought I bought. I used McCalls M5430 a wrap around skirt with pockets.
The Pavlova was pretty easy to follow but I will make a few modifications to the sleeves and length on the next go round. I did make a modification on the skirt pockets. The top is my cake and this skirt is the icing on the cake, can you say yummy! The chocolate flower cup cake was a bonus. The yummies are from our local Bakery. This was an outfit that I really made for myself and as luck has it, my icing was not meant to be and you can read all about that HERE.
Very cute fabric! And such a fantastic selection of desserts!
