Do you remember back in Indie Pattern Month, we ran a contest here on The Monthly Stitch (in conjunction with Dresses & Me) to launch a new indie designer? The winner of Project Indie (chosen through judges scores and from all of your votes) was Helena, with her Sandpoint Top design.
You may spot a few changes to the design compared to the one you all voted on – we passed all of your feedback on to Helena, and as a result she added a second option for the front neckline, and also raised the cowl on the back neckline to make sure there was no risk of bras showing. (Isn’t it great when designers take on board the feedback they get?!)
To celebrate the launch of her new Sandpoint Top pattern, you can get 20% off until 26 October, with the code “firstweek”. (Which means it’s a super-cheap $7.16!)
We’re going to be running a sew-along for the Sandpoint Top here on The Monthly Stitch, kicking off on 9 November. It’ll be a 30-minutes-a-day sew-along, so why not grab a copy of the pattern, pick out some pretty fabric, and join in? (And hey, there may even be a prize for one of the participants!)
Want to see what the Sandpoint Top looks like on various figures? Here are some of the ones Helena’s lovely testers made (several of whom are in the Monthly Stitch community). Click on any of the images to go through to the details of their creation.
