Salme Vegas Blazer

Eeek! I haven’t posted on here since July! It’s been a while… but it’s good to be back with my first piece of outerwear! And it was good timing too… right in time for my trip to Vegas last weekend! 🙂 I used the Salme Cropped Blazer Pattern and a stretch herringbone suiting fabric from Mood Fabrics. For the life of me, I couldn’t understand all of the directions, so my mitered corners and shoulder seams were not done correctly, but it turned out well enough I guess. I think I just need more experience with the terms… and practice, practice, practice! I decided to serge all of the inner seams, so it has a decent finished look, since there’s no lining. It may be a little jacket, but it was a nice intro into outerwear for sure and I’m pretty happy with the result! I’ll definitely get plenty of use out of this blazer.

Here it is all dressed up and on the town in Vegas:

See more photos and come say hi over here on my blog! Happy Friday!
