Which is not something I’m normally keen to do, so the perfect challenge for me this month. So here they are…
Front and back. This is my third Tilly and the Buttons Coco Top. I used a beautiful, thick knit and my overlocker to get these ‘bob on’ as we say up here in the North of England 🙂
I had a bit of a mishap while I was cutting out, (head on over to my blog navybluethreads.wordpress.com to see my very stupid error) and hence the use of some reversal of the fabric in places. Luckily, it worked out well and here she is as she’s actually worn…
Thanks for reading,
Teresa 🙂
It really doesn’t look as if the fabric blocking was a quick fix. Very chic!

Thank you! I would have been so disappointed to waste such a nice fabric, so glad it worked out 🙂

I do the same with my serger tails as well, sometimes I also use some “no fray” and clip them. I love the top it looks very nice. I love the block coloring idea of two different fabrics, very eye catching.

Thank you, but it was needs-must as I stupidly didn’t unfold the pattern pieces fully and had to improvise. Very daft!

I love that patterned knit fabric and the contrast. Your innards look really neat too! How do you deal with your serger tails?

Thank you! Well, I try to simply thread them on a hand needle and sew them in on themselves, which sometimes works well, but other times gets a little tangled…

Mm I have been trying to hook through with a crochet, limited success so far. Will try needle. Thanks!

Good luck! I use my larger ‘knitting’ needle to do it with.
