Announcing the May Challenge!

Happy Easter Monthly Stitchers!

I have recovered sufficiently from my chocolate coma to announce May’s challenge theme…something a bit different 😉

You are always welcome to sew any of our challenges for whoever you like, not just yourself, but we thought it was time to specifically focus on the other people we often sew for…the men (husbands, boyfriends, brothers, Dads, etc) and also the children and babies.

There are lots of great menswear and childrenswear patterns out there so in May we’re looking forward to seeing you stitch something up for a special man in your life or perhaps a kiddy wink.

If you want to try your hand at some children’s clothing but have none to sew for, why don’t you make up something for a local charity? That way you get to buy some of that ridiculously cute fabric you secretly want for yourself, and small clothing items take almost no time (or fabric) therefore no danger of eating into your own sewing time…or stash 😉

Jump on over to our Facebook page to discuss some of your favourite men’s and children’s patterns.

  4. ….So I popped on her just to see what the latest challenge was, and I just bought the Albion coat to sew up for my partner! (And one for me, obviously!) I haven’t sewn anything for him in an absolute AGE, bar fixing seams and buttons on jeans and pants, so I think this will be a nice challenge for us both! When we met he had a gorgeous woolen coat, he’s since out-grown it a touch, so this will be a perfect time to make him another!
