One Pattern Two (okay, fine FOUR) Takes

I love to sew for my kids!  Mostly I sew for my daughters, so it was time to sew for my sons!  And so I took one pattern, the Oliver+S Field Trip Raglan T-shirt pattern and sewed up 4 shirts for 2 of my boys.  Each boy got two shirts, each different in some way!  First up, I used an Inkodye kit to sun print each boy a t-shirt.

My older boy loves horses and cowboys, so he got a sun printed photo of Roy Rogers on his horse, Trigger.

My younger son love anything to do with construction equipment, so he got a dump truck and an excavator.

To read more about each of these shirts, you can visit my blog post here.  It was the first time I tried sun printing, and it was really easy, but I did learn a few lessons and will definitely be trying this again!

Next up, was some hand painted t-shirts for my boys.

My older son got a Cessna Skyhawk.  I used fabric markers to draw the airplane on his t-shirt.

Also, the back of this t-shirt is color blocked, so it’s black.

My younger son got a personalized hand painted truck shirt.

Yep, that’s his footprint, forever on his shirt, to show how big (or small!) his 4 year old foot was!  You can read more about these two hand painted shirts on my blog here.

All the fabric is knit fabric.  The white on all four shirts is a cotton knit from JoAnn Fabrics.  The navy blue knit on the sun printed t-shirts is from Imagine Gnats.  The black knit is from Girl Charlee.
