I was working overseas for quite a bit of June so didn’t manage to make anything for Indie Pattern Month. About 2 days into July though I made this Jackie O jacket from Simply Sews for a friends fancy smancy wedding in Mayfair in London.
The company is called Simple Sews and I fully agree – it was tres simple to make. My only adjustment was to fully line it and stitch the flappy facings to the lining. The outer fabric is a linen-like cotton which creases like a bugger within 2 seconds but was lovely and cool on a hot day.
Thank goodness for amnesty day for Indie pattern month!
(Psssssst – I also made the dress but it was from Simplicity a commercial pattern company – oooh naughty naughty).
Wow, the whole outfit rocks, you look chic and expensive!!

You look like a million dollars! I was going to say pounds because you look very British with your amazing hat.
