Today I’m sharing a self-drafted maxi dress I made with the fabric I won during IPM. It’s a black knit fabric from Minerva Crafts. They sent me about 5 or 6 yards of this fabric, plus some other knit fabric. I don’t sew much with knits, so it was nice to throw something different into the mix.
This project came about in part because my boyfriend challenged me to make a garment without using a pattern, so I settled on a simple tank top dress. I finished the neckline and armholes with self-made bias tape. All in all, I’m pleased with how it turned out.
