I have been really inspired by every one’s posts on here and started to think about any half finished projects I might have to share.
I have tonnes of WIP for general craft….half of one knitted sock, half knitted scarf, almost finished tapestries x 2 but not sewing projects (accept my duffle coat which is an ongoing saga).
I tend to sew for an event or occasion so always a rush sewing until midnight as I underestimated the time on a project. This means that I rarely have it left unfinished. Plus I’m always too excited to have a new item of clothing to wear, especially this year as I’m not buying them from shops so no quick rush of pleasure from shopping.
Then I saw some posts where people had planned to make but hadn’t got round to it….. So I searched my stash box and found a package from minerva crafts that I bought in October 2014 with some bengaline pink stretch fabric and zip with an Eliza M Wiggle dress pattern.
Apologies for the photos, it fits better on me then my model, especially round the bust area, and is a little wrinkled from my wearing it at work all day.
It was a super quick dress to Sew up and really comfortable as it stretches when you bend!
I had to adjust the front darts to be longer and wider at the bottom as it ended up with a saggy section around my tummy. The adjustment seems to have worked and fits much better.
All in all in very pleased with the finished item.
Come and have a look at a few of my other makes on my blog http://craftysewandsewindorset.wordpress.com
I love the colour. Very pretty!

This is a beautiful dress. It is great that you finished it and are able to wear it. Cheers, Michele
