On trend with the Linden Sweatshirt

I like to think of myself a having my own style but alas its not normally what’s trendy. If you google 2016 spring tends you’ll find out that apparently lingerie as outwear is the new big thing. Err right. I needed something a little more practical than that and definitely warmer. Surely there are some practical trends that us mortals could wear on a daily basis?

Aside from my little cheeky post earlier this week about pajamas trending in my sewing room, I think I’m onto a winner: the Linden Sweatshirt, with puffins, and contrasting ribbing.  I’m not sure how it escaped my notice, but the Linden appears to have been all the rage this past year or two – my favorites are by LyllosMig Growing in Sewing (scroll to the bottom of her post). So here I am jumping on the bandwagon, a wee bit late as usual. However, I’m definitely on trend with this cute animal print.

I made my first Linden yesterday, (thank God for long weekends – no pun intended). I wanted to be sure of the fit before using this glorious organic sweatshirt fabric from Bizzy and Boo. My test run came out really well and as it was so quick to put together, I moved straight on to this one.

    • Thank you! I don’t think Bizzy and Boo have any more but they might be able to tell you the designer so you can then google it… Esty is wonders for finding fabrics you cant get at the corner shop.
