Peace, love and pre-lycra stretch

I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to play this month as my sewing has been very dedicated to creating a costume for a play I am currently in, and while the fabric is floral, MIss Bossy put the kibosh on it being a suitable participant. But then I remembered this cute little T-shirt.

She is made from two lots of second hand fabric and self drafted. The body fabric (100% synthentic, pre-lycra stretch) I bought at an op-shop in Geraldine on a road trip.

The coral t-shirt knit was from a Salvation Army shop. There appeared to be a decent quantity of it this fabric all tied up with a ribbon. I stupidly did not untie the ribbon and check the full story. When I got it home, it turned out to be a bundle of 6 squares of this fabric, almost like fat quarters. What?! Anyway, there was enough in each piece for me to get one sleeve out of.

Come by my blog and say Hi ~ Spare Room Style.

Peace out.

    • Second hand fabric bargains are just the for real best thing in the world. There was so much of the floral (think I paid about $2) that I gave the rest to my sister! Gotta love that.
