I love Burda Style patterns as much as I love sharing free sewing patterns with the rest of the crafty community. Burda Style has awesome magazines, I subscribe to the Russian version, and I love their sense of style, but usually they do not release free sewing patterns. This time they made “Runway to Reality” pamphlet with 5 looks made with their patterns in order to bring Runway to Reality. This pattern was featured as an oversized sweatshirt/tunic with some crazy sleeves!

Pattern: you can get your free pattern here, once you enter your email to get “Runway to Reality” pamphlet. The pattern comes in PLUS size, therefore I spent quite some time downsizing it to fit me. Including after tracing the pattern out on the fabric, took some nerves 🙂 I also shortened the pattern to make it into sort of crop-sweatshirt-blouse
Fabric: it looks like jersey sweatshirt, but it is not. The grey fabric is polly cotton, that I got at Jo-Ann’s fabric from the red tag shelve and floral fabric is thin printed cotton, just tiny bit that I had left. The sleeve cuffs is the only part that was made out of grey jersey, tiny remnant piece.
gorgeous, it looks so great on you and such a nice combo of fabrics. 🙂

I love this! It seems like a simple pattern but your modifications and choice of fabric make it look super chic. Nicely done! 🙂
