For Inspiration Month I kept coming back to this winning ensemble by Siobhan. She submitted this look last year for indie pattern month and I believe she may have won a contest for that week.
When I first saw her outfit I totally loved it. It felt very exuberant and young and fresh. Since I’ve been on a bit of a matching two-piece kick lately, I decided her look would serve as the perfect inspiration for my next project. Voila!
Here’s my version of the playsuit using Butterick 6175 for the top and Simplicity 1371 for the shorts. You can’t help but want to prance around when you’re wearing a playsuit.
I’d really love to know if Siobhan has a blog so I can check out some of her other makes. I didn’t see anything linked up to her post. If anyone is interested in construction details for this and other projects, please visit my blog at See Carmen Sew. I’m also super pumped for IPM month, by the way. I’ve been awaiting anxiously for my pattern swap to arrive in the mail!
It looks great. The scalloped hem is very nice. Good fabric too!!
