I know, I know. It’s already the 11 July! But hey, I’m calling editors privilege on this one – I was so busy with all the Indie Pattern Month posting for The Monthly Stitch, I ran out of time to blog about my own indie pattern month make! So, here it is. One cardigan….
I used the Jenna cardigan pattern from Muse Patterns – unsurprisingly, this is my go-to cardigan pattern. 😉 I’ve lost count of how many of them I’ve made now….!
A while back, a friend of mine wore a gorgeous cardigan to work. It had a curved front yoke in a floral chiffon. Gorgeous! Naturally, I added it to my things-to-make list. 😉 And Indie Pattern Month seemed like the perfect time!
It was a nice and simple adjustment to the pattern – simply marking out the curve where I wanted it to be, then adding seam allowance. The floral fabric is a cotton woven, and the plain black is a lightweight merino knit.
Black isn’t my usual colour, but I must admit – it’s nice having something in my wardrobe that actually goes with other things! 😉
You can read a bit more about it over on my blog if you’re interested.
So pretty! This cardigan is next on my list!
