A Spot of Jamie Christina!

I simply love polka dots. So when given the opportunity to make a garment that implemented these wonderful spots, I was over joyed and excited to get started. I even had a few pieces of polka dot fabric waiting in my stash to be sewn.

My selection, a lovely polka dot piece of fabric I purchased a while back. It is a Nylon/Lycra Active Wear Knit fabric from the Fabric Mart Fabrics. Now what to make?

I won 3 patterns from Jamie Christina  in the Monthly Stitch Hack-it Challenge and was literally itching to make “The Miz. Mozelle dress PDF e-pattern because it’s just so adorable. A lovely vintage style dress.

I followed the pattern according to directions with a few alterations. I added a little length to the dress and I used a spandex knit solid red fabric for the collar & belt and ribbon to finish the sleeves, neckline and dress bottom. The pattern had clear instructions and it was easy to print, cutout, and assemble.

I truly enjoyed making this dress and seeing the final garment made me smile! For more details about the creation of this Lovely Vintage Style Spotty Dress check out my Blog Post “Jamie Christina Has Me All Spotty”  for more pictures and details!
