Making a Kimono, The Third Times a Charm!

So this journey wasn’t originally intended to fit into the Monthly Stitch August challenge, it just worked out that way. So how does this Kimono fit into the challenge well since I had to sew that band three times so I’m adding this into the challenge mix. This pattern Simplicity 1108  EASY-TO-SEW pattern and I think that’s where I went wrong. Me thinking that an EASY-TO-SEW is really beneath my sewing skills, I was thinking it may take me like an hour to get this thing done. So here I was putting the few pieces together and  then came that damn band. It took me three times to get it right! I was defeated from this project that I thought should take me an hour and ended up taking two days! I did redeem myself when it was all said and done, more pics and deets on the shorts on my BLOG.
