While in New York last month I found these fantastic shoes. They seemed so classy yet fairly comfortable (though after a day of walking from meeting to meeting I slightly reevaluated the last part of that statement). I loved the color and thought it would really pick up the red in this beautiful tweed I got in the summer. I already knew that I wanted to make the Delia Creates ‘Pleated Pencil Skirt‘ from the fabric and the skirt seemed to be a perfect style match with the shoes. So which came first the shoes or the skirt? Its hard to say, but they are perfect together!
This is the second time I’ve used this pattern and I really love it. It is very straight forward and I love the fit. I’ve used a twill tweed and the lining is a luxurious silk crepe de chine! You can read more about how I prepped my fabric and sizing on my blog.
My shoe obsession has in the last few years been curbed by my new found fabric obsession. So it’s wonderful for the two obsessions to compliment each other.
It looks great. Beautiful combination.
