Hey Everyone! So all of these items I made over Thanksgiving (Nov 23-25)(I didn’t really do anything on the 26th but cut out 2 shirts and as of this moment they are not completed). I know that this is a December challenge, but I am pretty excited about my new wardrobe. (And the next time I will really have another speed sewing session will be Christmas through New Year’s Day.)
This first pair of pants are my Pleated Blue pants, you saw on Nov 26th. You can read more about them HERE.
These Plaid Pants are super comfy and made with a knit fabric I got at Joanns. To see more about them you can click here.
This was a doozy and I finally finished over that weekend. You can read more about it here. (Starting Dec 10th) (yeah, I schedule one post a week. You are now the only ones to know about it). Usually all of my sewing is done through speed sessions, and then I take a couple weeks break; rinse repeat.
This is the first burda pattern I used. It seemed small, do you all feel the same when it comes to burda? I only ask because for everything else (Simplicity, McCalls, Butterick, New Look, Vogue) I sew a size 12 and this is a 12 and is really tight. You can view it HERE (starting on Dec 17th.)
This is my christmas dress. Again, you can view it HERE (starting Dec 24th.)
This top I have made 3 different versions of. I think that this is the best one yet. You can view it HERE (starting Dec 31st.)
These are my little babies, and the final things I made that weekend. It was the first time I used a See & Sew pattern. I did make some alterations to the pattern. You can view it HERE (Starting Jan 7th).
Sorry they are soo spread out throughout the winter! It always feels great to have a productive several days off! 🙂
Have an amazing Holiday Season!
WOW. This is what I call speed. Amazing 8 items and they are sooooo different and all are looking great. Well done.

Cute projects – and congrats on plaid pants! I agree about Burda – its sizing baffles me. I have heard that it’s meant for someone taller and buster than the Big 4’s standard block.

Gocha. Yeah I can deffinaately see the taller because I am a little taller and in that aspect the shirt fit.

Wowee! You have been BUSY! LOve that Burda top- shame it’s tight for you. I haven’t sewed Burda but always find Big 4 ease ridiculous so perhaps Burda have less built in? Also love the plaid pants and the red dress. YOu are all sorted for the holidays now. Enjoy your Christmas sewing.

Thanks! I think you are completely right about the big 4 having a huge ease. Maybe I just assumed that it had the same and that would explain it.
