Babies get through so many clothes, so I love a versatile multi-sized pattern. This is the Brindle and Twig Ringer Tee, which is actually a free pattern and comes in sizes 0-3m all the way up to 5-6 years. My baby is just 4 months, so I have made a couple in the 3-6 month size.
It’s not the first time that I’ve made the pattern so it came together very quickly. For this first version I went for the short sleeve and made it up as in the instructions. Its a great pattern for using up small scraps of fabric, so baby now has a t-shirt to match dad.
For my second (and third) version, I made up the long sleeve version, but I used a bit of a hack to make the neckline popper at one of the shoulder seams. Its a fairly common sight on baby clothes to make it easier to get dressed, and if you want to give it a go I’ve written a tutorial here. The navy top is in the same fabric as a dress I made for myself so baby can coordinate with either of his parents!
I like both versions. Now I’m just hoping that baby will get a fair bit of wear out of them before he grows again!
On my blog you can even see the cute coordinating leggings that I made to go with these tops here.
Super cute!
