I am a Louisiana ‘girl’ with a love of fabric, books and movies. My mother taught me to sew as a child and I can remember my great grandmother letting me ‘peddle’ her Singer treadle machine. Vogue has always been a favorite pattern line for me, but it’s been fun branching out to indie and foreign pattern makers.
I am blessed to have a man who tolerates the total chaos I create when quilting and sewing. That’s a must in this house. We have three grown daughters, a great son in law and the cutest grandsons.
Once the girls were out of the house I took over one of their rooms, pulled out my sewing machine and my fabric stash, and started quilting. It has been so much fun. Last year I started seeing all the great makes online and picked up the sewing bug again. Y’all are the most interactive group of people! I just love y’all!!
Now if you would just move a little closer. I would love to have an active sewing bee. It would be so much fun. Hope you’re having fun wherever you are.
